Ecommerce Safety Facts

I have always been told to not use public WIFI because someone could hack my device and get all my personal information and when they do they could basically become me. It's crazy how much power a hacker could have when they get into your phone, I also avoid theses mistakes by not sharing personal information with random websites, or saving my credit card info on every device that I have.

Best advice is to not save credit card information on computing devices!

  3. I just very recently began to save my credit card information on my iPhone and that makes me uneasy at times. I do appreciate that iPhone is allowing you to sign up and create user accounts in multiple e-commerce and websites using an iCloud email instead of your personal email.

  4. I also don't save my card information on all my devices as I would much rather have to keep manually typing in my information than risking it being compromised.

  6. The fact that someone can hack a device just by them connecting to public Wi-Fi is very scary. I rely on public Wi-Fi due to the fact that I am always on the go, ill definitely be more careful.

  7. I avoid being hacked online by making someone else buy things for me when I want something hahaha! I preferred shopping in stores more, so this works out very well in my favor!

  8. It is crazy how easy it is for information to be stolen, and the list of ways grows larger every day. People do not even have to be physically near a given place anymore. It is scary, so we must proceed with caution.

  9. It is very alarming how easily our information can be hacked. I make sure to turn off my automatic Wi-Fi connection feature on my phone to avoid signing into places I visit. You never know a person's motive, but it's always better to be safe.

  10. The sad part for me is thinking about underprivileged families, whose only means to accessing WiFi is through public spaces (libraries, Starbucks, etc.). As a society, sometimes it feels like we create conditions for perpetual oppression and disregard of our underserved communities. These individuals deserve protection of their devices and privacy as well.
